"Agnostic Hymns & Stoner Fables" - Todd Snider
"Peace Queer" - Todd Snider
"Tin Shed Tales: Live & Solo In Australia" - John Butler
Emmylou Harris - "Roses in the Snow"
Linda Ronstadt - "Living in the USA"
Guns N Roses - "Use Your Illusion II" (MFSL)
R.E.M. - "Automatic For the People" (DVD-A)
Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys - "Hall of Fame" (DCC)
The Cole Porter Songbook is excellent.
Anyway, here's what I bought today:
Anathema - Judgement
Burzum - Burzum / Aske
Deftones - White Pony
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygène [new master recording, CD+DVD]
Ulver - Bergtatt: Et eeventyr i 5 capitler
I already had the original version of Oxygène, but since the re-recorded version was being offered for a relatively low price of 7.90€ I figured just the live DVD alone might be worth the investment if it turns out I don't like the re-recording itself.
Some recently acquired classical recordings that I'm enjoying at the moment.
Feldman ~ Piano and String Quartet ~ Vicky Ray/Eclipse Quartet
Schubert ~ Piano Sonatas D.850 & 894, etc ~ Paul Lewis
Vivaldi ~ "La Straviganza" ~ Rachel Podger/Arte dei Suonatori
Various ~ Pentatone: The First 10 Years (10 SACD Box)
A few I should get myself.
Almost picked up the 'Collection' Disturbed just put out today but bought my above stuff instead. Still considering getting it as I've heard they're by far the best masters.
That box set looks mighty gorgeous, it's a shame that I don't have an analog system. One of these days....
The Who - Quadrophenia (CD)
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness (CD)
Massive Attack - Mezzanine (CD)
CSNY - Deja Vu (CD)
Demons & Wizards - Demons & Wizards (CD)
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour (2007) (CD)
Demons & Wizards - Touched By the Crimson King (LP)
Disturbed - The Collection (6 LP)
Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More (LP)
Norah Jones - Little Broken Hearts (LP)
"One Second" - Yello, very good used CD, early West Germany copy.
"Year Of The Cat" - Al Stewart, very good used CD, West Germany, the MFSL is just too expensive, this is the second best.
"I Robot" - The Alan Parsons Project", very good used CD, Japanese, again the the MFSL is just too expensive.
"Touch" - John Klemmer, very good used CD, MFSL, expensive, very nice sound, the MFSL LP is still better, IIRC.
"Their Greatest Hits" - Eagles, very good used CD, a target CD made in West Germany, I believe that this betters the DCC.
Simone Dinnerstein: Bach's Goldberg Variations
Simone Dinnerstein & Zuill Bailey: Beethoven Complete Works for Cello and Piano
Bob Marley: Legend
Lang Lang: Best of Lang Lang
