how many of you guys cook??? - Page 169

Thanks, Eee Pee,

That bun did not hold together at all. It was from a natural food store and it disintegrated halfway through eating the burger. I should have gotten the good old hamburger bun with preservatives. That would have held up nicely. biggrin.gif

Gee, some of these look neat. I suck at cooking, but this inspires me a little bit to start trying.

I pass this restaurant on the way from work to home.

Their herb box is tempting.

Look at those chives!

So here I am again, showing off baking instead of cooking, oh well. It seems that I just can't help myself when it comes to sweets.

Made Eclairs!

Baking in the oven:

The custard chillin' in the fridge.

Fresh baked and ready to fill.

The first victim.

They weren't all the same size, but they all tasted delicious.

Mmm, chocolate eclairs and profiteroles are good anytime.

We have the Toronto CNE fair on right now, the Food Building always has those crazy stands like this one:

Omg...mind blown. I would devour that.

Here's a link to the new stuff for 2013 at the fair, it runs until Labour Day (Sept.2) :

Check out my cute little Cajun Belle peppers:

Note the quarter for scale. These plants are quite prolific. There are tons more I could have taken today, but along with the other peppers I picked I've got all I need for today's stir fry. These little peppers have a bit of a bite and are extremely sweet. It's like eating sweet chili sauce in solid form.

Soon they will be cut into pieces, but I couldn't resist taking a group shot beforehand.
