GO8 Loaner Program

I have a GO8 that I am going to be sending to some lucky Head-Fiers for audition. You will get the GO8 for 2 weeks along with a pair of Cardas Golden Reference interconnects. After the 2 weeks are up the GO8 will then be forwarded to the next person on the list - this will be your only cost - Fed Ex Express Saver shipping to the next person. I will need to have tracking numbers sent to my e-mail so I can notify the next person about its arrival. Reviews here or in the source section would be very much appreciated!

You can e-mail me at todd@toddthevinyljunkie.com or post here with your name shipping address and your Head-Fi handle (if e-mailed to me). First come first serve. I have a few Head-Fiers signed up for it already! So get in line.

just the source my GS-1 and PPA was looking for ...yah ok so I probably wont be able to demo it I am sure but it still would be nice to think so

Please post the approximate shipping weight and box dimensions when you can.

I would be interested in participating.

I think rather than just first come first served (unless the demand is low for some reason), I think it may be best to start a sign up sheet and sort them by regions, so that the shipping will go from city to city, one right after another (and with head-fi members in the same city, perhaps they can hand off personally) so that the shipping costs can be minimized for the most part.

Of course, this will also help to have people estimate their whereabouts during the estimated time of their turn. As I have found, shipping stuff around and multiple people, takes longer than one would think.

Todd, if Edwood's suggestion makes more sense in terms of shipping from person to person, I would have no problem changing my position in line.

Hi Todd,

Heck, no way I can pass up an offer like this. Put me on the list. I also vote for person to person shipping. Should expedite things greatly although I can see where you'd want to keep tabs on the units condition and that might be hard to do going person to person. Just let me know when my number comes up and I'll get you my address but you should have it in your records.

Thanks for doing this. Always wondered about this unit and if it would suit my tastes. The big problem is if it does......

Hi All,

The GO8 will ship out tomorrow to Tyrion. I had intended to put in RCA interconnects. Most headphone amps do not take balanced but I could include a pair of each. That will allow it to be put into your speaker rig for audition in balanced mode.

The shipping is person to person. I would expect it to arrive in good order and if it doesn't, I need to know right away. I have given some thought to regional shipping but to be honest, I cannot manage it that finely.I am incurring the first shipping charge from Montana to Florida. It will cost about $40 - $75 to ship it air - and that is one requirement I have to stick by. The shipping cost will also help to weed out those who are not serious about listening. The total cost of the CD Player and 2 pairs of Cardas Golden Reference interconnects as well as a Empowered Power cord will be well over 6K. You wanna listen, you gotta pay a little something to ship it.

This is on the honor system. Please don't abuse it.
