sorry!

At the time i do not own "music" , you can't buy it at any local record stores.
I have heard the CD and i am quite familiar with it i just don't own it, However i hope to pick it up at the concert on the 25th .

As for soundsystem for somereason its just one of my least favorites right now
in a couple weeks it might be back in my rotatioion again who knows ?

I thought I would bring this thread back to life because a new album of theirs just come out: Uplifter. Definitely not their best work, but it's a different style for them. Bob Rock, who has apparently produced with Metallica was in charge this time, and I did not enjoy the results when comparing to all of their other albums.

I am a near-obsessive 311 fan(check out my avatar). I have seen them in concert 5 times. 4 in Cleveland, Ohio and once in Columbus, Ohio. They are best live.

I would recommend to anyone that has even the slightest interest in 311's music to give them a shot live, they are sure to please. Although their concerts tend to be a bit "green", they draw a crowd of a wide variety of ages from what I have seen.

Back in high school, one of my friends got a bunch of backstage passes for us for his birthday. It turned out to be a big waste of money because the band walked past all of us like were weren't even there and got out of there as fast as they could. I remember I had never been so pissed in my life, and I don't even listen to 311.

Sorry, I had to tell somebody, even if it's a dormant thread from 5 years ago.

As of now, the only album I have from 311 is Transistor, and to me, it's pretty damn good.

The self-titled album, Transistor and Soundsystem are all you need. "Life's Not A Race" was a theme song to many drinking sessions back then. :)
