Stupid Pleather Question

To prolong the life of pleather earpads, could you use one of those products meant to protect plastic / vinyl surfaces in cars? (Like Armor-All, etc.) Or is the pleather used in earpads so crappy there's nothing you can do?

Anyone got a set of beater headphones / earpads to do an experiment with?

Hi Beavis - Welcome to Head-Fi

What headphones is it that you have, or want to buy that have the pleather pads?

There are no known fixes to the best of my knowledge, anything that would firm them up would probably make the pleather brittle, and probably have a detrimental effect with repeated exposure to your ears

There is probably a cloth equivilant to the pleather pads in question though which improve both long term comfort, and lifespan of the pad
