Im looking at trying to make a 2.1 Speaker set up for about $500 preferably lower since thats pushing it. But i listen to hip-hop mostly. I dotn know to much about speakers but i would like somethign that sounds kinda like my px-100s but maybe more forward if possible. And i would like a nice subwoofer, and from what i know (which isent much) a smaller subwoofer has tighter bass and the larger woofers have more bloated and more impactful bass. So i think that a 10" sub would be good.
