Grado 325i Recable

I need a longer cable on my 325i, and I was thinking while I am making the extension, why not just recable the whole thing?

Would 15 foot of starquad be a good place to start? Which 1/4" plugs should be considered?

starquad should be just fine - a great compromise between price, weight, width, flexibility and quality. choose canare over mogami - the former has spiral shields which 'unwind' over time and also provide less shielding.

remember to leave the shield 'floating' at the business-end and ground it only at source!

for 1/4" jacks, the neutrik and canare ones spring to mind immediately. the neutrik has (imo) a far better implementation of stress-relief though. however, the canare is definitely prettier and more unobtrusive.
