Im just looking for sub $70 speakers for a T-AMP boombox Im trying to put together.

I know these are above you budget but the Athena AS-B1 would work well. They are $99 @ audioadvisor.

Im going to use them inside and outside as part of a T-Amp boombox so I dont want to spend over $80.

I think that price is for one speaker, not a pair.

you read sterophile and you think a bookshelf speaker for $80 is a ripoff?

my current center channel speaker alone cost about $450, and a while back I was looking to upgrade to one that cost almost $900

Some Circuit City's may have the Sony SS-K30ED...I have the floorstanding model which is mostly the same (has another woofer). Mine had one pair for $65.

No I just think advertising the price for each speaker is misleading when they probably wont let you buy one speaker alone.

Thanks dude I just dropped $105 on Athena AS-B1. If they dont work out Ill get the Polks.
