Will this box for switching channels hurt my set-up? (with flow chart)

Hey,

I want to be able to have my speakers and headphones plugged into my computer and i have a box that will do it but i think it might hurt the quality. I use the headphones for music, i dont care about the quality through the speakers b/c i mainly just use those for watching Seinfelds and Family Guy episodes. Anyway, take a look at the flow chart to get a better idea of what i'm proposing.

Just test it out. If you can't notice a difference then no, it won't hurt your setup.
