can i buy impedance increasing adapters?

I have a earmax tube amp and i was told to increase the power to my akg k501s i have to increase the impedance (reverse of sold states). Is there anyone who sells adapters or cable that will increase the ohms for my headphone to the amp? I think it's rated at 130 ohms impedance right now, and i'm looking to double it, as the earmax was designed for 300 ohms.

Thanks,
AP

An additional serial resistance to your K 501 will decrease efficiency. 120 or 130 ohm is an unproblematic load for the Earmax. There's nothing you can do if it doesn't have enough power to drive the K 501 to satisfying levels -- maybe a more efficient headphone (e.g. HD 650) or the Earmax Pro...
