Medowlark Audio Speaker 1/2 off

Sad to say another fine American company has gone out of business.
Meadowlark Audio is no more
How & why it happened, I have no idea.
I have heard the Kestrels, Shearwaters and Blue Heron models and enjoyed them quite a bit.

The good news is they are clearing out the remaining inventory at 1/2 off
See this page for details.

Only SARJAN has the balls to say it like that! That was a awesome read to say the least!!! (he is the only reviewer I respect, the restof them are just another reviewer..but he has something and he tells it like it should be)

anyway Todd I knew about this awhile back and I am sure you did to, its sad for a number of reasons...1 is the company made such beautiful looking speakers its not even funny, 2 is now I cant demo any of them, 3 did I mention the beauty?...I mean the stringer inlays they offered were..4 I never had the chance to listen to any of their products, 5 after not ever having a chance to hear them...I will never have the chance to order a custom set!

its sad, really really sad!

Yep, Sarjan is one of my favorite reviewers too.

Actually Billy I just heard about it today over at the Asylum.

I'd jump on a set of Kestrel 2's or Swifts if I were you.

The prices are a steal. Anyone looking for speakers should seriously consider buying one of these liquidated Meadowlarks. I've owned Meadowlarks and can vouch for their terrific sound and build quality.

Pat is a nice guy whom I've chatted with a few times. As much as I feel bad for Pat re: this messy affair, I am not as sympathetic as Sarjan. At the end of the day, Pat bailed on his company and financial responsibilities, leaving others to clean up (and pay for) the mess.

Hey, anybody that want's a pair of Meadowlarks in the DC area should come by Soundworks, in Kensington MD. Address is 10518 Connecticut Ave., Kensington, MD 20895, just 1.5 miles outside the beltway.

We have one pair of Meadowlark Swifts in the Light Ash finish, priced at $800. Sure, it's not quite as cheap as the website, but you don't have to wait for them and you don't have to pay freight (freight can be expensive, as much as $60 to $80).

We also have a pair of old Shearwaters. I can't remember what retail is, but our price is 66% of retail (I think).

We also have a pair of Ospreys. THERE ARE NO MORE OSPREYS AVAILABLE ON THE MEADOWLARK WEBSITE! They are cherry with two maple stringers each. We're selling them for $2600.

Everyone that works at Soundworks (myself included) will be happy to help you. Bring your music and have a listen!

Sorry for the plug, but seeing as these speakers are no longer available, I thought it to be appropriate.
