help create me a classical playlist!

I'm no classical buff, and have really listened to none outside of waiting on hold.
Needless to say, I'm very inexpierienced. However, after listening to some modern classical tracks in a friend's car, I decided that it isn't too bad, and I want to give it a go.

So, help me create this playlist! Name any classical songs you enjoy, especially something more modern. Ease me into the world of classical music with something made for someone with a shorter attention span

So far I have:

I've had friends that didn't have any experience with classical ask me the same thing. One recommendation that always goes over well is the first movement from Shostakovich's Piano Concerto # 2. You may have never heard it, but it will be instantly familiar. it's really fun music that keeps changing and growing in dimension. Give it a listen!

Carl Orff: Carmina Burana (the opening chorus especially, but the whole thing rocks)
Astor Piazolla: Tango Hora Zero
Philip Glass: 1000 Airplanes on the Roof
Sir Malcolm Arnold: Symphony #5
John Adams: Short Ride in a Fast Machine
Michael Torke: The Yellow Pages (composed around a bass line borrowed from a Chaka Khan song)
Conlon Nancarrow: Player Piano Etudes (kind of like an old player piano on acid)
John Adams: Common Tones in Simple Time
Frank Zappa: G Spot Tornado (orchestral version)
H.K. Gruber: Frankenstein!! (ya gotta love a piece with sections titled "Rat Song", "John Wayne", "Batman and Robin", etc)
John Adams: Fearful Symmetries (30 mins long, but what a wild adventure)
Kevin Volans: White Man Sleeps
Dmitri Shostakovich: Jazz Suite No. 1
Serge Prokofiev: orchestral suite from "The Love for 3 Oranges"
Serge Prokofiev: Toccata
Silvestre Rivueltas: Sensemaya
Benjamin Britten: Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings
Olivier Messaien: Turangalila Symphony

Try a few of these, and you may find some stuff you get a kick out of. have fun!

So far, i have what you guys told me and the seasons by Vivaldi.
