Mini Usb Question

I'm not exactly sure where this belongs to so..

anyways I was researching on the VAIO Pocket and according to this page
http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...s&DCMP=CNET_DF

it says

• Ports on Cradle: Line-in, Mini USB1.1, USB2.01, DC-in

does Mini Usb 1.1 have the same speeds are regular Usb 1.1? [I plan on transferring photos from my camera to the player directly] or is Mini USB the same as OTG

thanks

"Mini" USB defines the type of connector:
This or
This
USB 1.1 devices have a slower standard of transfer and will automatically engage with USB, Hi Speed USB or USB 2.0.

i see

i'm researching on the Sony VAIO pocket. you can transfer photos from the camera directly to the player. I've asked someone and they said the transfer speeds feel like half the speed of usb 1.1 so I'm a little worried

yes, it definately would be slower than 1.1 transfer. i read an article about a guy using a hard drive mp3 player he had that could act as a usb host to store photos from his digital camera on, and the transfer speeds were very slow. handhled devices i guess just dont have the power to run USB at high speeds.
