I'm looking for a basic pair of inexpensive speaker stands that maybe raise the speakers an inch or 2 off the ground (or not) and tilt them at an angle. I'm not sure where I can order these. I used own a pair that was made of metal rods with rubber covering it where the speakers sat. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't know of any stands like that othert than the Mapleshade ones, and those are pretty expensive. Sounds like the perfect case for some DIY stands!

My dad actually made his own speaker stands out of concrete patio blocks cemented together and painted black. Cost him like $5 a pop and makes for great dampening. He made them so the dogs don't pee on his floorstanding Technics
