Great mod! I took about 10 minutes to do the drilling and was relatively simple for me to do. I thought it would be harder at first, but I actually made holes that were spaced nicely. I made my holes using 1/8 for the outer and center, and 5/32 for the inner, but I might go back and make the 2nd ring larger. I didn't notice as much difference with the sound as when I did with the quarter mod. I believe there was more treble coming through which I like. I'm not heavy into bass at all, and like the high end of the music.

When I had the plastic guard off, I took the opportunity to listen to the ksc75 and I was pleasantly surprised with the clarity of the treble and tightness of the sound. Hence, I figure I might go back and just make the holes larger to get this type of sound. Compared to stock, the new mods I tried makes the ksc75 a lot better.

I have since put an order in for another pair of ksc75. At the moment, I am listening to these more so than any of my other headphones...grado sr60, HD595, px100. The sound is really intoxicating, and for only $20 it's a steal. I strongly believe that the sound of the ksc75 is amazing not only for the price, but at any price.

I did the Kramer mod and now my drivers make a metallic chirping sound. I tried them without the grills on and it still does it, I'm not blaming the mod, but I wish I hadn't done it. Could I have a problem with the connector? Maybe I should try recabling them?

Did you rip that metallic covering?

I had a similar problem when I did mine. Turned out that a small hair piece was causing the unwanted "chirping".

sorry to bump such a legendary topic, but I can't seem to see the pictures in the first topic and I don't know if it's possible for me to do this by just reading the instructions.

any idea how to "revive" them or find them elsewhere?

^2nded, I want to try this out.

You can get some good ideas from later posts, several have posted their attempts.

BTW - I did this mod with the quarter mod, and I am absolutely loving the results. I didn't think I'd ever get so much enjoyment out of $15 headphones!

I broke mine trying to do the Reverse kramer mod ...poked the back side of the driver and now makes a vibrating sound. I did a pretty crappy job modding it too and since they are so cheap, I ordered another one. Its hard to not own one of these babies, and the waiting game starts

kramer modded mine at work today... the results are much more pronounced than i imagined... very happy with them (though i was before too)

this may help some people looking for pictures as well, on the back of the grills a lot of the spots i dremeled already had a circular mark showing you where to drill.

i think i may recable these for giggles.

Is there a way to increase noise isolation or noise cancellation on these headphones?

if the leakage is coming from the inside of the earphone, you could try the px200 pads, if its coming from the outside, you might be able to plug the external holes, but i'd imagine you'd change the sound signature quite a bit.

here are the px200 pads, they should "seal" quite a bit more...

(not mine!)

does anybody know where can i get the px200 replacement pads from other than ebay and amazon in the UK?

Thanks. They really are great. Sometimes I think I'm listening to a Grados.
