good "headphone" albums?

I'm getting some new 'phones (ety er4...not sure of S or P yet) and am looking for some good headphone albums...you know what i mean - albums that sound great when listened to with headphones. I'm looking to pick up some new discs to pick up. I listen to mainly "alternative" rock/indie stuff. Any suggestions?

best to take some of your favorite albums that you are fairly familiar with and try to listen for new things.

don't buy music for gear, but gear for the music that you already love.

I really like anything by Eva Cassidy, Dave Matthews Band, and Porcupine Tree to "show off" my cans. Plus, it's good music

Radiohead--Kid A. I think the etys in particular really shine with this CD.

Led Zeppelin II is cited frequently as a good headphone album.

anything by radiohead

beck- C change

these are all produced by the same guy. i cant remember his name, but he´s a genius. all the albums have so many well recorded sounds swirling from all directions. with good headphones, you are transported into the middle of a tornado

Agreed.

If you like Alternative, why not try A Perfect Circle once.

I think personally the ultimate Headphone album is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Not only is it acceptionally-recorded and mastered, it is filled with small and little details that only headphones are really able to pick up. It's the perfect show-off album.
