Bah. You should be able to get rid of it no matter what. What have you done so far?

adaware and all other similar free spyware removal programs, all the virus/spyware online programs i could find, tons of DLL removals recommended at sites like http://www.spy-bot.net/BookedSpace.asp and...hmm, i didn't try this. i didn't go to the actual bookedspace site itself and download its uninstaller! should i do that, or do you think it will put more evil crap on my computer?

As soon as you start using registry altering software It's time to hit Start / shutdown / restart in MS DOS and type in Format C:/

Honestly these programs do more harm than good and "Norton" is worse than a virus it fills the registry with more crap than comes out of the entire African elephant populations backside.

Format C:/ is your friend on this occasion Jahn.... just make sure your computer is running in stealth mode (invisible) the next time you connect to the net after the format and stay away from "iffy" sites.

If you want to try one last attempt at removing the bugger with software give the cleaner a go...... may do the trick (probably will) but I recommend you start fresh.

hmm! come to think of it when i run these programs i do it in safemode, but when i went to C: to get rid of the DLL, i didn't do it like that - maybe i should try the rebooting directly to MS-DOS, that could do it! thanks for the advice!

edit - and yeah i got hit by this sketchy site - "BookedSpace/Remanent is silently installed by MThree MP3 to WAV converter."

I was suggesting you "wipe" the drive and start fresh James.

More likely It's installed silently at "Big, Busty and Still waiting for the page to load" site

Formatting is good. I do it every 2-3 months. It can be a pain though, but you would be surprised how fast it goes after the format. Windows files just get old, let them die.

Sounds like it's a web browser problem - that's a bunch of CSS code there, which should be processed by the browser for visual stuff (which it seemingly isn't, with all the default link colors and whatnot). Try another browser and see if it works?

Just a wild guess: changing the net connection -> the new ISP proxy doing something funny to the html?
