Just finished reading "Sword Art Online" light novel vol.1... Wow, I would definitely like to see how the upcoming anime will do even without expecting too much

Well, the anime is super hyped, so it better be good.

Though hype means nothing, because Medaka Box was one of the most hyped shows this season, and it (in my opinion) turned out crap.

At least Accel World from the same author is doing not bad > <"

I don't really like Accel World, but that's more a matter of preference. However, Medaka Box is simply not good at all.

I don't mind Accel World but it has heavily degraded into a simple wish-fulfillment show after some interesting concepts were brought up early. Sword Art Online looks interesting, though it is in severe danger of becoming .hack clone.

Anyone hyping Medaka Box was misinformed. All the talent that made Eva/KareKano/FLCL/Gurren/PantyStocking have left Gainax or retired.

And though Nisioisin writes the scenario, the manga is supposedly constantly at the bottom of Jump's rankings.

I liked Accel World at first, but it's been degrading a bit with each episode. I'll still watch it.

Medaka Box... well it someone reminds me of Sket Dance. I'm not into that type of show, but I did end up watching Medaka Box. I don't hate it, but it's meh.

Kare kano... definitely the top Gainax anime for me. Too bad it lost it's funding and had to rush everything in the end. I wish they'd redo the latter half now.

Anyone who has seen PSG, does anyone know if this is an original track, or taken from somewhere? It's a DAMN shame if this is all there is...

It appears near the end of episode 4 (second half episode) when Garterbelt is making a speech...

I'm obsessed with this track.

Enjoying this quirky anime so far.

Bakemonogatari!

"As usual, I was almost going to be late. I was running up the school stairs. When I reached the landing of the staircase, a girl fell from the sky."

A very violent girl armed...  with... Staplers! Bwauhahaha!

And her new friend, a really kindhearted smart guy. Fighting daemon crabs and snails. With staplers and magic. yum.

Beautiful animation, and some pretty snarky and academic humour. It is, after all, made by Studio SHAFT.

Well having a looksee through my usual places, officially they didn't made any extended version. Thank you for reminding me to watch this anime. I stopped watching it because usually I watch anime while I am having my dinner. As you might guess, that's a very terrible idea.

Lol, yeah. One of those animes you sorta have to watch alone. XD

I was able to extend the song to double length. The intro and end to the song cut in/out abruptly in the original, so the transition was seamless. smily_headphones1.gif

Well most of the shows ive been watching this season are over, so i figured id say a bit about each one.

Fate/Zero: i dont feel that this show even needs anything written about it, at least not that i havent already written in this thread. This is probably one of the greatest pieces of visual entertainment that I have ever had the opportunity to watch, and I dont say that lightly. This isnt just good anime...this is entertainment perfected.

Aquarion EVOL: Haha now this show while not that great, is wildly entertaining. So much sexual innuendo. I didnt love it at first. but with how bad the winter season was, this ended up being one of my favorites from that season. And this season it really just got better. The end was basically just as ridiculous as i thought it was going to be. And no, i havent had the chance to watch Genesis of Aquarion yet, which was the first season of this show.

Kids on the Slope: this came out of nowhere for me, never heard anything about it leading up to it airing or anything. But it turned out to be me second favorite of the season. Now if NoitaminA werent being stupid this season i would be able to write about the end, but alas, episode 11 ended last week, and there was no conclusion and it said to be continued. i guess NoitaminA deicded to be 12 episodes this season for some reason???

Im still watching E7 AO. i ended up dropping almost everything else that i was watching, Lupin III, Sankarea, Mysterious Girlfriend X, Accel World, Natsuiro Kiseki...none of them were different enough from any number of other shows ive seen to keep me entertained. I also tried Kotenbu, and Amnesia, but didnt get passed ep 2 with either of them.

Oh but now that we're in between seasons i took this chance to start watching Star Driver on Blu Ray, since ive had both volumes since they were released, and hadnt seen the show yet. I went into it assuming i would like it, since im a collosal BONES fanboy, and i havent been dissapointed. Its not their best work, but its got a good blend of serious and humor, and i finished ep 6 today before work, and im definitely enjoying it so far.

Speaking of revisiting last season's show, I've had the chance to restart Symphogear. Still haven't finished yet, have about 4 episodes to go, but from what I see, it's not the best in story or character interaction and growth, it's okay I guess. What gets to me is the soundtrack and songs. Usually not my cup of tea, but it just grows on me and in an episode, there I am, hooked and quite addicted to the music. It felt a bit rushed, and wished that it had the chance for a proper story. Up to episode 9, there still seems to be no objective or point, other than "protect citizens/FRIENDSHIP!!!". Only thing going for me is, like I said, the music. I did said that it was like a Mai-Otome moment back when Symphogear first aired, so that's going to be my next marathon after Symphogear.

Imo Symphogear sucked. Sure the music was OK, but other than that the plot is just horrible and the characters and battles are way to shounen-like.

Watching REC. The palette is a bit dull but otherwise great comedy! The main character is a voice actor.. I spot a pair of akg k142's

Face-clawing anger and disappointment at the ending for Symphogear! Should've seen it coming, dammit! Poop. Friendship deus ex machina, one of the worst deus ex machina I can ever encounter. Good thing my nails aren't too sharp, lest my face is ridden with bloody claw marks.
