who's your least favorite singer? - Page 2

Kurt Cobain and Perry Ferrell are far and away my most hated "singers". Use of that term is very, very liberal, mind you.

for me its the general "american punk/emo singer" they all make me cringe.

and Maynard of Tool/APC ... ewww

Off the top of my head? The lead singer dude from Maroon 5. Good lord is his voice ever grating...

I agree with the above poster; pretty much any of those 'singers' in those punk/emo/screamo bands drive me up the wall.

I don't like Christina Aguilera. Her voice sounds very harsh to me...maybe its the way she sings. Mariah Carey too...her voice is too nasal and the way she sings now (not before) sounds quite dead too me.

How DARE you?! Change you opinion right now before I some how disagree with you more.

But myy least favorite would be the emo/generic singer though. Or Good Charlotte, just because I hate them so much that I have to mention them in any "Worst of" thread.

The Greenday guy is my least favourite singer, nowadays anyways.

No offense taken... as a fan of both Geddy lee and Freddy.. I can understand why someone would dislike their style. Very unique & identifiable, both tonally and lyrical as well IMHO.

my worst...
sinaid o'conner... her voice isnt that bad... its the extra baggage that annoys me.
garth brooks

tripe is too cute and harmless a word for what they do.

The majority of singers.

Out of all the vocalists I don't like, something about the sound of Michael Jackson singing "The Way You Make Me Feel" with all the whoo-hoo and squeaking brings me close to tearful hysteria.

So many bad ones out there...

It might be fun to talk about singers that are so bad, that we love them for it! For example, Peter Garrett of Midnight Oil (on the early albums at least) has an absolutely dreadful voice, but it perfectly fits the music and one learns to love it!

Listing The Doors as one of the top 50 worst recording artists kinda puts their opinion in place for me. I rate their ranking right there with Latoya Jacksons singing.

I'll have to vote for Rod Stewart as the worst recording artist ever. His music makes me cringe.
