RCA to mini interconnect

Yesteday I picked up the Monster Cable Interlink 400mkII at Best Buy for $40. I want to connect my CDP RCA line out to a Total Airhead. However, after opening the package the cable arrows point from the mini to the RCA's, not the other way around.

A couple of questions:

1) Is it ok to run the cables from RCA source to Total Airhead mini in the opposite direction of flow?

2) If it need to return these cables, what cable should I purchase to go from RCA CDP source to mini amp? I don't want to spend too much money. One of these days I'll purchase a good, home headphone amp that will likely have RCA connectors, not a mini.

yes, it should be ok. Someone help me out here. I'm guessing the cables have been burned in that way. So, after you listen to them for a while, the cables will "reorganize" themselves, and all will be well.
