Portland, Oregon Headroom Meet

Info update:
location: The Pacific Conference Grounds/The Evangelical Center - 18121 SE River Rd,
Milwaukie, OR 97267 (right next to portland)
Time of Tyll's arrival is approximately 3:30 p.m., and he will be leaving around nine p.m. cause he has to be in Southern California by friday (i think). The only rule that might get us into trouble if violated is no beer (I guess friar tuck won't be showing).
We should have a hefty turn out considering the headroom appeal so it should be noted that this is a multi-building complex so you might have to do a bit of looking around to find the meet or *gasp* ask for directions unless someone does some considerable leg work with the signs (which has caused some minor confusion at prior meets...lazy bums).

nothing has been decided though I took the liberty of mentioning that Dev might be open to hosting it just to show Tyll we were serious

Glad I actually looked in here today, I've mostly been looking only at my subscribed threads lately.

Nothing has been decided, as mentioned the tentative date is the 2nd. In addition to who can show up it might be useful to know what time people can show up since it's a weekday.

The informal plan is to discuss location, etc at the June 18th meet. By then we will have a better feel for the people and the options.

Hurrah for the Oregon group, we may have more people than Tyll was expecting at the rate we're going.

I just saw a link to this thread. Needless to say, I'm very interested in going! Can't miss the opportunity to audition the best of the best, now can I?

edit: haydenlake, you (sort of) live in Salem too? Big ups! That's three of us so far, including Blip as well. If each of us is over 21, I'd be compelled to buy drinks at Moonbaker's sometime, and the same can be said for all my Oregon homies.

As far as times are concerned, the later the better for me. I haven't finalized it yet, but I'll probably be taking an entire year of japanese during the summer term. So for me that means nothing but japanese from like 8am to 1pm monday through friday. So I wouldn't be able to realistically get to Portland until around 4pm.

Being a weekday and seeing how us Portlandians tend to have jobs I imagine things won't really get rolling till 6. Good chance I will get off early that day though, especially if I'm helping with the hosting at all.

i don't think Tyll will have a problem staying late or anything like that if we put the squeeze on him ...seems to be a rather accommodating fellow.

We need one as there will almost certainly be a much larger turnout than the last time and I doubt any apartment will do because there are already a bunch of folks showing interest on this thread, dev says he has a couple friends that are interested and Budgie says that he will probably be bringing at least two others, plus our regular ten, so maybe we can convince a local audio store to take us in, looks like you Portlanders will have to start working on it ASAP, any way you look at it, considering that August second isn't that far away.
