Ok then after reading all the trials and tribulations of all the "tweakers" on the board I have one (hopefully easy) question.

Who would win in a one on one confrontation?

The butter Knife or The Hair Dryer??


(If you dont get the Hair dryer ref nip over to Beagles How I destroyed Three Grados in one week end)

The butter knife, definitely. While the hair dryer is the "hot" new kid on the block, the "sharp" old veteran will "cut" it down to size!

Actually, I think my puns could take out both of 'em!

This needs a poll.

I think the butterknife can easily do more noticable damage, but don't you think that heating up your headphones with a hairdryer could just screw up how they sound irrepairably without you even noticing it until you listen to them? Although I guess Beagle just got lucky.

You mean, to open up Grados? Or pit one against the other, physically, in a confrontation?

If it's the former, the hair dryer wins. Properly used, it can help open up Grados for necessary reapir and resoldering. The knife would cause permanent damage and/or marks. If it is the latter, if the dryer could keep a safe distance, it could eventually heat the knife so it would be too hot to keep holding. But the knife could shove itself through the front grill of the hair dryer, rendering it hors de combat.

If you were to attempt an armed robbery of a Grado dealer, threatening them with a hair dryer might distract them enough for you to make off with a nice RS-1. A butter knife might sound the alarm.

I'd say the knife ultimately although the hairdryer would be more fun, where you could see the drive units melting

I voted for the Hair Dryer, but I second Cool.

Mmm, the butter knife is much easier to carry concealed. Thats why I went for the Sony's instead of the Grado's. I heard some guy, here in Portland, carrys a butter knife, and violently stabs Grado's when ever he see's them, while reciting the collected poetry of some guy called "Pablo". Scary ****!

If you attacked the hair dryer with the butter knife, assuming the handle is metal and assuming the hair dryer is plugged in, the loser would actually be you, since you would most likely be electrocuted
