I must say they look very good.
If you want to top it of with a swanky leather headband (he's got them in black too), Jeremy's got a little promo deal going on here. Just shoot him a PM if You're interested.

That was your first post! Not bad, welcome to head-fi
I see your wallet has done some suffering already, but Im sorry for it none the less.

I ordered two of those headbands because of the Deal. It's almost two fer one pricing!

I wanted to get a SR60 or SR80 to play with instead of modding my 325is and potentially breaking them. I just wanted to be able to enjoy it a little when I'm done modding... so SR60 or SR80 assuming I like the sound of the 325is? SR80 worth the extra $30?

I'm not brave enough to mod anything that expensive yet.

I just ordered some SR60i's... will probably just sell them after unless I use them as portables. I don't find my SR325is portable because of the cable. Plus is gives me the extra cash for materials vs the SR80.

I'm getting them tomorrow, we'll see how this works out. Will be a few weeks befor the Cupz are made. I'm going to burn them in in the meantime.

I've had the SR80 about a month now, and love them now (I said after 2 days they weren't right for me -- well, my ears and brain changed!!). I've tried the tape-around-the-bowls mod and removed the tape pretty quickly -- closed and sufficated the sound, to my ear. Then I add some home-made-taped-on spacers between the cups and bowls, and took them off in an hour after being convinced that I was losing some high-end because my ears were farther away from the drivers.

But I've tried one other mod that I was wondering if anyone else has tried. What I did was cut out from foam two more "bowls" (flat-edged), and put them onto the cups where the bowls usually go, then put the bowls on top of them (had to hold them in place by hand since they didn't reach the lip of the cup to hold them). This compressed both sets of foam a bit and moved the drivers a couple of mm's away from my ear edges. I think this actually improved the bass response a bit without losing the airy sound you get with the standard bowls.

Anybody else tried something like this -- using two sets of bowls at one time?? What did you think?
