I know this sound like a silly question, but are the gimbals and rod blocks on the PS1000 metal or plastic? I'm asking this because the RS1 comes with metal gimbals and plastic rod blocks, so I would have thought that the PS1000 would have at least come with metal gimbals to begin with, and possibly metal rod blocks, and you just may be looking for aluminum because of the weight.

If the PS1000 comes with plastic gimbals and plastic rod blocks, just spread the gimbals slightly and the pins on the side of the gimbals will pull away from the drivers (releasing the drivers from the gimbals). Use A blow drier to heat the plastic boot on top of the gimbals, then pull the plastic boots off of the tops of the gimbals, and then slide the gimbals out of the rod blocks. Then use a blow drier to heat the rod blocks, then firmly grip the rod blocks and pull them off the headband.

(Put a twist tie on the (right driver wire), before removing the left driver from the gimbal, so you know it goes to the (R) right rod block.

Hi. They are aluminium gimbals and plastic rodblocks.  I have removed the rodblocks and headband okay.

I just can't get the new stock black metal gimbals off the PS1000 so I can swap them with my aluminium custom ones.

Well I know there are two pins on each gimbal (on the sides) going into the drivers, if you cant spread the gimbal enough for the pins to release the driver, try removing the pins from the gimbals.

This RHA SA950I looks like it has a nice headband that would fit a grado cup.

Got my Viablue T6s connector today. 3.5mm small version. I see now why they are sought after. Light weight aluminum body, strong platic inserts for different cable diameters, gold plated and stylish. Definite sense of build quality. I like the gold plated set screw that hold everything together as well. Less chance of things coming undone.

just got my cups in.  Looks amazing!  Thanks 7keys!

They gave the sr60i's more body, bass improved and smoothed out the treble.

WOW!   That was some fast shipping.

They look great with your cable.

I'm glad you like them.

Did the drivers fit good?

Yeah had to sand down some of the glue from the liberated drivers but it fit real well.

Included something extra in the package with the gr02. Not much but I had an extra so figured you'd appreciate it.

The gf wants to do pink sleeving and pads for her set. I think it'll look good with the lighter mahogany.

Anyone have a good source for leather headbands? Besides turbulent labs?
