Thats beautiful 7keys!

I looked through the thread, but found no pictures of people trying out Grado drivers in the housings of other headphones completely. Have any been good?  Bonus points if the headphone folds up like dj headphones.

Apparently, a 7506 headband works as well.

Pretty sure that's it. I remember seeing some Grado mods built on that band in some old threads here.

You can find cheaper alternatives than the KonoAudios with the same style of headband if you look for cheap pc headsets

I used these

What sort of wire (and any links or manufacturer in particular would be awesome) do people recommend for recabling Grados? I know silver would likely not be recommended, but what would?
Actually very pure silver wire has been used in several recables. I use canare miniquad though.

This may seem very ignorant of the different wires, but how would that be different from using the Mogami mini quad (W2893)?  Just wondering if there's a big difference in the flexibility of the wires.

No, but yesterday I felt on these : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honduran-Rosewood-cups-for-Grado-headphones-plus-installation-if-needed-/261202399739?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item3cd0e051fb

Accidentally (as I was searching for Grado aluminum cups, lol).

I'm glad you pointed me out to their website!

Their cups are gorgeous! I'm going to check out their other products.

I've been talking to Clint about making some plugs for me to recable my SR225is. The cool thing is you can find your own pen blanks online and send them to him and he'll do the work for you. I think I'm going to get 3 plugs and a Y from him as soon as I find some wood I like.

He does great work. I'm glad I found the site (thanks to a poster a few pages back).

I just stumbled on these... has anyone tried (or willing to try) to see if these work as replacement Grado pads? Could be an interesting experiment.

I'm loving these new Maple cups, they have the best sound of the cups I've tried so far using my SR60 drivers. The other cups I've made have been with semi-hard wood with similar sound signature. These Maple cup are a major change.
