Amplifier in pocket = blown eardrums?

Now that I have two amps, one PAV2 and a Gilmore, I want to use my PAV2 with my iPod for a good sounding portable rig. However, how do you keep yourself from accidently shifting the volume on the PAV2 while it's in your pockets, avoiding possible eardrum rupture? Paired with an E4C this seems to be a problem, especially considering already how loud a PAV2 + iPod Line Out is at 2 O'Clock(starts at 12).

you may try the etymotic p-->s cable or the olebach 120ohm similar cable, or make yoru own. that will help reduce volume a LITTLE bit.

otherwise, send the amp back to have its gain re-set lower.
