Crossfeed Circuitry - Page 2

I have been on this forum some 8 months and read about crossfeed. I thought i would not like it.
Then windows xp came out and had a crossfeed simulator then i knew i would not like it.
but
i purchased a hansen cmoy with cross feed
I now will only listen to cross feed
my next amp meta42 will have crossfeed wired in.

I have some old jazz and some rock music with really unnatural, badly engineered stereo separation. The JMT CMOY with crossfeed makes these sound a lot better, though I have to turn up the volume some. This makes me understand the wisdom of the Headroom filter/boost, though I haven't heard it.

DISTORTION

I guess it comes down to which type of distortion you like best. An OTL tube amp that opens up the soundstage, or crossfeed circuitry.

i think crossfeed is an addiction. i will never own a non-crossfeed amp. well, i guess i could always use the static . . .

what i don't understand is how people can have several amps -- some with crossfeed and some without. seems like they'd become addicted and never listen to their non-crossfeed amps.

CRESCENDOPOWER,

so what's the deal? did you send your headroom amp back?

arnett, Yep! It's gone. I knew when I posted this I would bring out some of the big dogs with the Headroom Max, and such. So, I knew I would probably be in the minority. But, I still have to call it like I hear it.

An OTL tube amp introduces itsown form of distortions, so don't kid yourself.

That's exactly what I mean't. I just like the distortions from OTL amps better than crossfeed.
