I never add my opinion to any discussion unless it is from a postion of experience and not just "theory" and in my experience large guage wiring sucks for low level audio signals. You like it big go for it but no way would I personally recommend it to others and that is MY experience.

YMMV and it seems does
Take it easy there buddy - there's no need to get all defensive or start making personal attacks. You made some statements about the use of speaker cable as IC or headphone cable without offering up a single example of your personal experience to back up those statements, and seeing as you didn't offer up any personal experience is it unreasonable for someone to then wonder if you're offering up opinions that aren't based on fact? Why so defensive then? I mean all you would have had to do is say 'I've done this, this, and this with speaker cable and that's why I believe big cable sucks', as you so elequantly put it.
So please tell us a little bit about the IC and headphone cables that you've built using speaker wire, and please also tell us what was so negative about those cables that it now causes you to so strongly discourage others from using speaker wire in their IC's and headphone cables.

It seems to me like it would be a lot of work change cables every time you put a new CD into your player.
