400 Pounds Panasonic FLAT response system ?

Guys,
I am a happy owner of a Pansonic SC-DT310 home theater system and have been pretty pleased with the sound quality of it as long as i enable Center Focues(its an option that routes the center channel through the front bookshelves).
The system uses these 3.3 Kg each biwired bookshelves (with a cherry wood real veneer) for the fronts.
Testing used a set of 50 test tones from 40 Hz to 18Khz showed a fairly FLAT fr from the fronts according to my ears.
A point to note however: the Center Focus also seems to be equalizing the sound of the speakers. There is a medium change in the sound if i switch it on and off.
Additional 3 band tone controls are also provided by the amp.

NOW for the BIGGEST SHOCK ! : I happed to stumble across this :

Chose Panasonic SC-DT300 in the above and WHOAH ! This system really seems to have a flat response...

Note:The SC-DT300 has the same fronts with the same drivers as the SC-DT310.The SC-DT310's front are only bigger and heavier.
Now if onyl some one would lend me a sound level meter.................
Comments PLEASE !
