Just thought I'd help out any headfiers who are looking for a deal on speakers that have a BB close to them. I know good and cheap usually don't belong in the same sentence but Best Buy carries the Athena Audition line of API canadian made speakers which actually sound really good for being sold in such a chain store.
Anyways, Best Buy is running a 30% off already discounted Home Theater Items coupon that is valid on the 15th. This means that the last year model closeout Athena speakers will be incredibly cheap. I just visited a few BB near me and found an open box pair of AS-B1's that would be around $50 with the coupon (retail is $179!) and a pair of AS-F1's for $120 (retail $400!)
IMO, nothing can touch the sound quality at these prices.
A few very good deals can be had on Pioneer and Yamaha receivers with this deal as well. i.e. Pioneer 1014tx ($449 retail) for $225.
