I suggest getting one with a return policy, because you probably won't be telling the difference between them and any piece of cable with rca's slapped to the ends

chych, the resident digital cable disbeliever.

so long as the cable is a true 75 ohm cable, and has shielding if you think you will need it, I don't think you will experience enough data loss to tell much difference between an expensive cable and a moderately priced one.

Try an inexpensive one first, and if you are dissatisfied, try a more expensive one with more bells and whistles.

Do read my notes on the GW Labs DSP. The digital cable used had a much more pronounced effect on sound than upsampling 16/44.1 to 24/96.

Dan at Modwright sells the Jena Labs Cryo treated digital cables that have been well received. If you want to spend $165, that's a popular option: ModWright. He has a 30 day return policy if you pay return shipping so if you want to try to find a difference it's probably the way to go. I was told to give it a shot with my P3A and Sony S7000 so I have one on the way. I'm not committed to keeping it and I'm a skeptic too, so I doubt I'll be as effected by placebo than cable pushers are, but I'm open minded enough to hear it if there is an improvement over the $50 Monster.
