Is it possible ?

Really want to get some vinyl into ipod,

I have a very good tube pre amp but just can't afford much for a turntable.

Thanks for any help.

You may find some turntables in that price category. Used is your best shot at getting something good. The new turntables at that price are noisy - and certainly not of high build caliber. Look for a belt drive table, manual operation with a decent cartridge. The best new inexpensive table I can recommend is the Goldring and that sells for $375 at TTVJ.

Used tables are not that hard to find but they're a bit dodgy to ship. I'd try to find one you can pick up locally or, if you can scrape together a bit more scratch, go for the Goldring from Todd. Good value.
