Music Hall CD 25

So, I have had a Marantz CD5000 for quite some time now and I have recently made some DIY speakers (which I love dearly) and gotten a sweet Jolida amp for them and I want to upgrade my cd player. Reasons for this being it seems the marantz is lacking some in the bass catagory and also seems overly bright. I am willing to spend around $600 for a CDP and so far from research the Music Hall seems to be the best and I can get it locally so that helps. Would this be a sound investment or can anyone recommend another player within that price range? Thanks.

P.S. here are said speakers and amp in question

(negate the amazing 100 inch hdtv between them it is only a temp setup)

I have a CD-25 in storage at the moment because I found it to be overly bright in my application. Replaced it with a NAD C542. I read good things about the modified versions of the Music Hall.

You may want to consider the Onix player as it is basically a rebadged Music Hall CD25/Shanling S100 and is about half the price. As far as I know the only thing different is the opamp used.

The Onix is a great little CD player at its price. It can be a bit bright with some components, it is a bit bright in my setup (Gilmore Lite, AKG501/HD580)but otherwise it is incredible value and the detail is stunning (imo blah drone etc)
