Canada? The Ottawa group is fairly active, heck I'd take a Toronto meet and travel up for it! How about it?
Yeah, that would be awesome if you hit Toronto on the tour.

Big thanks to Jude, Old Pa, BHD812, and tkam for getting things going so quickly.

Sorry, tyrion, I really can't leave Bozeman early enough to make it. And to tell you the truth I was hopeing I could cut down the drive time between florida and Atlanta by holding it in Orlando or something.

The main flexability I have in schedule is sliding the mid week meet to either side by a day or so, and swapping the weekend meets one for the other. Also I'll soon post a map and I might be able to sneak in a few extra mid-week meets if they're on the route. Also the route isn't set in stone so jogging a little this way or that is possible.

Jose, I guess well be seeing a lot of each other, I'm looking forward to it.

Well, 00940, I don't know yet. We gotta hear from someone willing to set up the meet.

I'll start editing my thread starting post here shortly and adding links to the meet threads.

Hi Zanth. I really should add a fifth leg to this thing and do Canada. Let's set it up for next January. Brrrrr. Seriously though it's kind of far off the beeten path. Boston will no doubt start griping soon, too. But sadly I have to be back in Bozeman for July. There's a possibility I could be talked into another leg in the fall for a trip across the north. At this point I'm thinking that the Detroit/Chicago/Minneapolis folks may miss out on some of the product that isn't going to be ready in time (the flagship stuff may be a little late). And since this whole thing started off by making it up to Minneapolis, I'm thinking I 'd be happy to hit them (yes, you too Chicago and Detroit) again and maybe carry on into Buffalo, Toronto, Ottowa, Boston. We'll see---it's a lot of time on the road.

When you are in Detroit, if you only just did an extra 2 day stint to drive to TO, then do the meet then leave for the next destination. Detroit is like what? 3 hours from TO? I know there would be PLENTY who would venture out for this thing, seriously man!

You might want to send a rep to FL on the day of the meet instead of coming down as a TOUR.

Why?

A LOT of us will be there...many of us coming from other states...people who are hard to pin down will be pinned down in FL. Why not hit the mass instead of just ol tyrion

If you send a rep with all the samples to attend the FL meet it will make more sense. If you can also help with the meet location rental it will make even more sense

J/K of course

Two days before my birthday.

I'll try to make it, but I think that I might be in Japan at the time.

The problem with the first leg is that I'll be bringing a few of the HeadRoom folks along, so every day on the road is expensive. We'll have lots of work still to do on the new stuff too so that trip will further delay things.

But hey! To qoute someone "Detroit is like what? 3 hours from TO?" Why not come to the Detroit meet?

I'm in Ottawa Which is like...9 hours from Detroit. Toronto would be feasible, for Detroit...at that time...I would just rather drive to NYC

wow chicago really had the most meets? wow I thought new york would of killed us...hmm I guess I want to host another meet maybe in late july then to get our score up a bit...hehehe (my parents love when you guys come to the bar! and since its a bar so should you!).

Tyll Just make sure you bring some loaner gear that can go in my jacuzzi ...you know for the water testing purposes of course!

are you bringing headphones to? if so then I wont have to bring my grado collection to the meet.

I also am going to be on a "budget" this year for the april meet in chicago, probably no starbucks girl this year but I can always make a good espresso for anyone interested. I should be able to get free pizza for the meet and I will work something out with my mom (the cook) to maybe pack you guys lunchs to take on the road or something...who knows.

I wanna talk to some chicago guys about going to the detroit meet the day before to...hehe

OK you guys, my sweet wife said she'd fly back to Bozeman for her family reunion. (Turns out her folks are coming in a week earlier than we expected so she'll have to split early. She'll be traveling with me till DC.) So she said It was cool for me to miss the festivities here and I can extend the trip.

I'm working on the route in a mapping program and so far it looks like about 17,000 miles, $4,700 in gas, 290 hours of driving, and 8 weeks on the road (including Europe).

Somebody's got to do it, I suppose. At least I'll have headphones on the trip!

this is just AWESOME! I'm blown away and very VERY excited! I don't think you will regret this decision in the least. Not just the fact that you can meet a bunch of cool Northerners but the fact that you will be here during our most exciting weekend (Canada Day weekend, July 1st being Canada day). Should be a lot of fun with a great turn out.
