Overclockers Australia members have successfully completed their second group buy of these "controversial cans" and are well on the way to organizing a third!

http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...threadid=52091

When the third group purchase is completed there'll be around one hundred new owners groovin and fraggin with their "plush pillows of pleasure".

Outstanding.

"plush pillows of pleasure?" that's sounds like what you'd call bre---never mind.

I stopped going to that forum when it started to ask for login info even if I just wanted to view.

I think I'm partly to blame for that craze, I'm sorry

dokebi: it's not the login that makes it bad, it's a lot of the people there

I've hung up my HP890s in favour of my Beyer DT531s lately, I haven't even bothered to do some back&forth testing to really compare... once I put the DT531s on, I just don't want to take them off.

The HP890's do sound nice for the price, but the build quality was rather poor IMO. Mine broke the 1st month I had them.

im from the overclockers forum aswell, been drifting over this forum aswell. got a pair of koss ksc-35 a couple of weeks ago from that guy over at the headwise forum and am using them for everything atm as have no over decent headphones.

am thinking of getting those philips here aswell when i get some more money, as heard they were good for games (and affordable).

but will i notice my mp3s sounding bad if i got these ? 90% of them are 192kbps stereo. im quite fond of my mp3 collection and cant afford to go buy all the cds to replace them with.

I just received my pair from the second group buy on stated OCAU. The first cd i tested was "Simple Things by Zero 7." Overall i found the sound to be a little compressed and the highs did produce some silibance on the trickier female vocals. However after 24 hours of constant use now i am happy to say said problems have begun to drift away quite considerably. I am very happy with the purchase and am looking forward to watching these headphones grow over the next week or two. My only qualms with them is positioning. As they are so big i find it a little difficult to find a position whereby they feel very comfortable. They feel a little unstable at the moment. Does anybody have any suggestions?

You need the $200 head enlargement upgrade, you'll notice a huge difference in sound quality as well as comfort!
