Is the PSB Alpha B the same as the Alpha Minis? I can't seem to locate the Minis in PSB website. Were they discontinue? Just looking for a budget speaker for my laptop.

PSB Alpha question?

The Alpha Minis are the old line. They've been replaced by newer versions: the Alpha Intros (lower end) or the Alpha B's (upper end). However, you can still buy the Minis at some places, for really great deals. www.yawaonline.com has the Minis in black for $132/pair, and in white for $99/pair.
how do they compare against the Paradigm Atom? Is there a new version for these too, like version 2 i think?
I remember from your previous posts long ago that the NAD L40 would not be enough to drive the Mini or Atom? Were you referring to the Mini or Alpha B?

There are a couple of versions of the Atoms. I think the current version is 3, but I might be wrong. It's hard to say whether the Atoms or Alphas (new or old) are better; to a certain extent that's a matter of personal preference. They're both good solid speakers.
The NAD L40 can definitely drive both the Atoms and the Alphas. In fact, the L40 is powerful enough to drive most reasonable speakers. NAD even sells a version of the L40 that comes bundled with the Alpha Minis. They call it the NAD Music System.

Check online for original Alphas or Alpha A/Vs, which I think have been discontinued as well. I got some last year for about $150. I like the sound, overall decent bass and darker treble(but I guess it depends on your other electronics.)

I have a pair of Klipsch KSB 3.1 bookshelf speakers. How do you think these compare to the PSB alphas or Paradign Atom, Titans, or Mini montiors?
