After W5000 LCD-2 sounds veiled and stuffy, like stepping into small chamber, takes a while to adapt back to its presentation. If I've heard both in a store and had to decide between two, I'd never choose LCD-2 for sure, but it's nice to have both just for different taste.

Yes in deed.  I know what you mean..

Hi Justin,

I just emailed you about those modules!  Hopefully you still have some of them in stock.

Thanks.

Well, I've bit the bullet and procured one of these for myself. With the featureset and module upgradeability, perhaps I can stop thinking about gear and start listening to it a bit more for now :D

Where from? They aren't manufactured anymore

There was one in the FS recently. That's probably where it came from

Yup. I contacted justin to make sure the amp was still waranteed and snapped it up. Considering picking up the new modules as well.

Congrats on the purchase! I have one for about 2,5 years now and haven't looked back, hell they'll have to pry it out of dead cold hands before I part with it smily_headphones1.gif. Its a piece of art, both for low and high impedance cans.

Congrats on the purchase. It's my favorite amp so far. It lets me DAC roll. wink.gif

Yeah I'm pretty terribly excited for it to arrive. The headphone out on my motherboard.....just isn't the same ;)

You're actually keeping track of who of your customers are upgrading their amps? That's one tight administration you've got there. I'm still considering mine, even though the difference with a DT880 will be minimal

Well they're certainly missing out on an even better GS-1. I thought the upgrade was well worth the $ for my GS-X!

I don't think it should be too hard to figure out. He knows how many GS-1 was made and how many of the modules were sold.

i sent an email to every GS-1 buyer (though i'm sure a lot of them have been sold).  9% is just looking at my order list for the modules and comparing with the # of GS-1s that have been built.  my goal was to hit 10%.  it's unlikely i'll be offering the modules after a few more weeks as i need to conserve the rare parts to use in the GS-X mk2
