But you'll be hearing half of what the GS-X has to offer listening via single ended. You need both balanced inputs and outputs to hear what the GS-X can fully do.

Shah wants an updated GS-1. Can add me to that list with the improvements gained from the new power supply and boards as well as switched outputs.

^ Yeah. My setup isn't balanced any more so it'd be a waste to get the GS-X just for its SE outputs. Chop the new amp and price in half and I'll buy it.

years ago i decided against offering a SE version of the GS-X because really only difference in price is 2 amplifier modules. the price wouldnt be half because its still the same amp & power supply enclosure, same dual mono power supplies. at best it would be 10-20% cheaper. the GS-1 is less than half the price of the GS-X because it's a single, smaller box, with 1 power supply shared between the 2 channels.

That is what we are asking for. Because yes, a GS-X that's missing two boards doesn't make sense.

I see what you're saying Justin, but what we're really asking for is an option for a GS-1 with the same upgrades performed on the new GS-X.
Edit: But at the same time, I guess it will never have the SQ of a GS-X because of the lack of dual mono.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
I thought if you order one "NOW" in this first run it comes with the DACT.

my intention is that ordering now gets you the new GS-X at the current price, with the choice of either the Alpha potentiometer (new) or the DACT stepped attenuator. In the future, the price will be higher, or the DACT will be an added cost option, or both
