this is the antique i use to measure the power output

 

it reads 2.2 watts with a 30 ohm load (single ended output) -- new GS-X w/ new modules

no...it's massive compared to the size of the GS-X chassis

H-f has had multiple users with the same avatar for many years now. no one has dibs on these things.

back on track - the GS-1 is a fine amp. my variant of it, the v2se, has been a wonderful device over the years.

the longest lead time parts (the transistors) are scheduled to come in end of September, and then assembly of the PCBs will take a couple weeks.  I will need to start taking orders in advance of this because I have no idea how many existing GS-1/GS-X owners will want new modules, I only know how many I need to build for upcoming new GS-X amps.
