Creative Zen Static

Thread Starter
I recently purchased a Creative Zen Nomad Xtra 30gig and I use KSC-75 headphones (all new). I noticed static in a couple of songs and suspected either the headphones or the jack, but later realized the static was only in specific songs and necessarily related to high or low frequencies.

Is it possible to get a bad rip or sync that causes static to be present in my recording? If so, will deleting these songs and starting over cure it? Any experiences with this appreciated.

There is a bug with the Zen Xtra that causes static in usually the right channel at random times. To fix this, you need to power down and then power on again. Perhaps this might be your issue. If not, then re-rip!

I have noticed this when listening to higher bitrate songs on my zen micro. As prona suggested you should re rip the music thats affected.
