Orthodynamic Roundup - Page 392

that's insane...i guess i will just be happy with my Yh-100s..i figured i might pay upto 200 for a yh-1000 since its so rare..then ended up going till 250..but that's the limit....if this is the low price for a yh-1000 they sure must be rare even among the ortho enthusiast crowd.

dude, your not supposed to show the high interest auctions when they are still on!

Ah well, lucky for me I cant bid on these anyway. Though one day I shall have a pair!
oh!..didn't think about that..just wanted to know if it was worth pursuing...

You also have to understand that we are the smaller demographic of people interested in the top-of-the-line vintage yamaha headphone.

There are more people who are rabid collectors of TOTL vintage anythying-audio or vintage-whatever-particular-brand than there are orthoists. By a very wide margin.

Heck, it doesn't even have to be TOTL with vintage Yamaha gear. I posted pics of my Yammi CR-620 on AudioKarma and I received a few PM's with offers as high as $400 for it since it's an unmolested original in near mint shape. Of course, I'm going to upgrade the resistors on the headphone jack so it won't be original anymore, but that would be difficult for most to spot.

Lol this is quite funny, the e-mail scams have hit orthodynamic headphones hahahaa.
Some guy is trying a moneygram scam on me claiming he has a YH AND HP-1000 headphone.

Its a cookie copy and paste of this scam Are you being Scammed? - Nottstalgia Nottingham Forums .
I'v asked him for the photos of both , if he can dig out a photo of a YH and HP-1000 together he probably deserves some money lol.

He is currently claiming he cant get photos because he is is in Italy and his wife has the headphones at home (Ludo, lol a friend of yours )

Ha ha. Watch it got as high as $500 If not higher than that. YH-100 were going for $300 not that long ago.

And YH-1 or even YH-3 with good mods are almost there, so leave it for collectors.

hahah...this is getting interesting...that was a fun read..

Looks like the YH-1000 is long gone guys.

Edit:I blame Sachu!

i wonder what kind of amounts these yh-1000s go for; must be quite the sum for someone to end an auction early, when its already up to $250 with three days left
post #5877 of 23431
I don't think we've ever seen a YH-1000 go to completion of the auction on ebay.

It's like trying to buy a vintage patek-phillipe watch. Except in that case, you know damn well that it's because the curators of the patek museum bought it.
The question is who are the curators of the Yamaha Orthophones museum?
The 1000s are all bought up by the illuminati and used as orgone generators in their initiation rituasl and then incinerated.

and here I thought I could sneak in and mortgage my kids in pursuit of audiokarma ..dB
