Orthodynamic Roundup - Page 1648

Too many collectors out there who are willing to pay huge amounts for the rare ones, thus driving prices up :( the new orthos should have driven prices back down but instead they're all thousands of dollars, not much better, and a lot less reliable

Hmm, I wonder, where all those collectors have been until the start of hype train in this thread...

From one side, we became well-known of orthodynamic world and the other side - this lead to skyrocket prices on vintage stuff.

And one more unpleasant thing is that a pair of headphones coming from one hands to another doesn't decrease in price. The next owner may even sell it for higher price than he paid earlier.

Kudos to those lucky guys who got theirs T50, SS-100, YH-1000 etc. for dirt cheap or reasonable price.

The headphones you mentioned are rare they do pop up once in two years. If you are lucky you can grab one for reasonable price. Some are listed at exaggerated prices, you can see them listed for 6 months or more. I don't think there are large number of collector's. Once I spotted YH1000 for 100$ but the seller must be some old guy who wanted to sell locally in cash only.
