Thank you guys..., this is what I do on my spare time..., it's really fun. :)

I don't think I'm qualify to review this woody compare to original.

but what I can say is I can hear more detail and tighter/clean sound compare to plastic cup.

I only use original Foam  for damping.

The 5Ms just need custom molded tips and they'd be the bomb!

OT, but I'm still waiting for a response from Kaysen on tips for the SR-003s.

Orthodontic headphones!

I don't know, I think they look cool. Maybe they look better off the head than on, but I wish people woulda caught on to the IEM thing earlier, so more of these coulda been out in the wild.

Then again, I think the Sony PFR-V1 looks a bit cool, too.

I still think the YH-5M looks optometric rather than orthodontic, but that's me. It's a brave new world unto itself; no one ever made anything remotely like it. Is the seal good enough to deliver bass (if the seal IS good, there'd be nothing to prevent deep bass), and what does it sound like when you screw on the accessory back-sealing fingertip grips? The big question for me would be "Is it comfortable? at all?" It looks like a something an audiophile masochist would wear.

I think its tres cool.

I guess the seal depends on ear shape? And how much the earpieces can be adjusted. There are good photos of the cross section of the cups on wikiphonia.

Now this woman looks like she is comfy, and to reply to Sambones, looks pretty good on her head, but then I think her head looks nicer than ours :p.:

I would love to see it on the head of one of our own

Nankai's getting really serious with the proposition of an HE-6. I can sort of imagine saving up for a HE-5LE or an LCD-2 but $1300 - $1600 is a bit beyond my purely imaginary hypothetical budget... I really hope it kicks ass though.

And Kabeer, are the YH-5Ms heading your way? I love the look of them. They look like sci-fi manga technology.

^^ exactly!!..those Yamaha YH-5Ms are nice. Very futuristic looking for even today.

These days you'll be hard pressed to find an earphone that looks a tenth as nice and that can last a month or two let alone a couple of decades.

The magnets in the 5M are among the strongest evar put in an isodynamic. When you consider that the "ring" doing the radiating in this tiny driver has an equally tiny area, you can understand why. Interestingly, the response graph published by Yama shows a greater-than-expected treble tiltdown. I await sober impressions of this thing.

HE-6? really?

Calico, beautiful job on the precision cutting. You have some awesome skills there. My hat is off to you!
