Trying to get a deal for Beyerdynamic T70 this blackfriday, any beyer-lover has good information?

Thank you very much in advance.

I really want to join this group in one week, :-)

I have only heard the T1 and T5p, I presently own a T5p and I like it.

I'd like to try a Beyer DT48 to see what music sound like in the 1940's and 50's.

I picked up some DT 770's Pro 80's off of Ebay not too long ago. I am driving them with an Audio-gd Sparrow. I have been enjoying them :)

This is what I'm working with for my general EQ, have another for classical and another for pure electronica.

Would be glad if you could post your exact values! I've had mine for more than a year, but I've yet to get a proper equalization going. Would also be nice to see which settings you have for electronica.

I've downloaded it and put it in right folder, but can I bind it to a key somehow? Only find the option for the normal equalizer in "Keyboard Shortcuts".

I just snagged a great deal on the DT190 headset on eBay.  I forgot how wicked awesome the DT150 are somewhere along the way, and I'm really glad to have a pair back in the collection.  They sound really awesome.

I found a thread while back showing how to disassemble a 770/880/990, don't remember which. I've found quite a bit of threads with short step-for-step guides, but not any with pics, which this had. IIRC, the OP had problems with bass rattle due to hair getting stuck in the drivers, which I assume has happened to me too. I think the thread was made in '09 or '10.

So, does anyone know which thread I'm talking about?

I've had to do it, but I don't remember a picture guide.

It is a bit of a pain, because there's this plastic ring once you get the pads off.

Found a great guide:

I assume the DT990 Pros are similar in construction to the Premium/Editions. Let's just see if I dare do this...

I didn't have to go near that far.  I just got to the stage where the white membrane in front of the driver is exposed.  If there's a hair, you will probably see it at that point.
