HD580 cable may have some problems, which new cable?

should i get a cardas one or one of the headphile blacksilver ones or what? i think there might be a problem with the left connector in mine as i sometimes am getting a slight popping sound (it sounds like an mp3 that has a little gap in it) and im thinking about trying a replacement. what is a preferable one? money is an issue and i wouldnt really want to spend more than 80 bucks, are there any DIYers on this forum who would be down to make me a new cable? thanks.

Hey, my headphile cable is in the mail now, I can post some impressions after it arrives. It is the cheapest aftermarket replacement cable now available that I know of (the oelbach is no more). There is also a blue moon in the FS forum.

I'm a happy camper with this cable. The build quality is great, and the sound is also top-notch. I have not listened to these phones in about two weeks, and I rolled some tubes in between, so I have no way of telling the detailed differences between this and stock [no longer have stock], but the build is enough to warrant the purchase. I am happy with the sound too.

I can vouch for the Headphile Blacksilver too. Sounds very good.

I have this headphone as well, will the Headphile Blacksilver make it sound better in comparison to my normal cable that came with the unit?

How much is it? Also I have a regular Optimus Receiver that I use for my headphones, not sure if the receiver's quality warrants buying this cable. In other words, will I notice the difference even despite my mediocre equipment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should notice. I plug it in my regular Kenwood receiver.
