Having A Trouble Deciding Which Pair Of HeadPhones To Get

Hi all
recently i have purchased an iaudio g3 512mb and frankly, the headphones that came with it are crap (i didnt get the creysen phones but some generic crap).
and thus i was thinking to myself which pair of phones should i buy
i am a total newbie in terms of fancy codenames and frequancy rates etc.. so i dont really know what is better then the other and usualy let the price do the job.. so here is where you people come in :
i would like a pair of isolating in-ear earbuds and my demands of such categoty are :
1. a long product life (i intend to use them on a regular basis for about 4-5 years
2. a loud sound (for example not needing to cranck up the volume to 35 out of 40 to hear the music.
3. i prefer to buy from a site that accepts international orders and preferably by credit card and not PayPal

also i have heard that earbuds tend to break after a short period of time.. is that true ?
a quick reply would be much apritiated , thanks !

dammit almost forgot : my budget is 50-120 $ (includes shipping)

The Etymotic ER-6i fits your criteria. They isolate, should last years (and if they don't Etymotic's customer service is great), are very sensetive (i.e. go very loud with little volume), and you can buy them lots of places (I think that HeadRoom (a Head-Fi sponser) will accept international credit card orders, but I'm not positive).

ER-6i is good, or you can check out the Shure E3c's?

damn these cans are expensive, there must be something more cheapr (im looking to save some cash) !!! what do you think about the audio technica ath-em7 clip-on's ? or the sharp hp-md33s ?

It sucks when your budget can only go so far. I definately overspent mine this past month (relative newbie here too).

I opted for the "ugly" $100 Future Sonics EM3 canal phones. To me, great sound for the price, and I wasn't worried about looks. They're comfortable and have great range. They're easily driven by my Zen Micro, and I don't need to crank it up to get my metal music loud.

Remember, though, that advice here is VERY subjective. So, if you take ones advice to purchase, it's not their fault if you don't like it.

lol , they'r color is too poopish..(no offense) but i bet they sound good. i think im gonna go for the sharp hp-md33s because i read some preety good opinions about them.. that leaves me with about 60 bucks to order from audiocubes.
what cans would you offer me that has a good sound quality and a deep bass ?
i dont care about manufacturer.. thanks to everyone

If you like sound with NO bass, then you'll love the EM-7 clip-ons.
As for the MD33, I can tell you they sound great! Unfortunately, I can't attest to their durability as I've only had them a few days. I believe audiocubes ships internationally and takes credit card payments. Hope this helps.

does NO bass actualy means no bass or just low bass ? but they rae damn beautiful.. id sign em' up for a beauty contest
but i think eventually ill go for the sharp.. btw how long is their warranty ?
and can someone advise on a 60-70$ pair of headphones (not for a portable but for computer use) or should i save up some more ?

NO bass means NO Bass.
As for the warranty, I have no idea, but be aware these are direct from Japan so you would most likely have to deal with Audio Technica Japan......and there are a few horror stories regarding them posted on this site. I just pray they don't break.

portable? hardly. sr60 doesn't isolate and leaks like no one's business. not to mention it's large and not terribly hardy.

Sorry for the confusion, but I finished high school way too long ago.
As far as the warranty is concerned, I was referring to the Audio-Technica, but you asked about the Sharp. Why? I misread your question.
Again, I think, since the Sharps are also from Japan direct, you would have to deal with them (maybe through audiocubes?). I haven't heard anything bad about Sharp's warranty, though.
As for the length of warranty, again I have no idea, as everything in the package is in Japanese.
If the warranty issue is a major concern to you, you might want to look at the Koss Plugs. They apparently sound horrible in stock form, but can be modded to sound OK. They're rather inexpensive (under $20 I think) and they have a lifetime warranty from Koss.
Here's a link to the various mods that can be done:
