Because it is a dual mono amp with single-ended outputs.

What I am concerned with is that huge fan...

$421 is so tempting; this amp is loaded for that price! It makes me appreciate my Chinese heritage!!!

Gorgeous. Love to hear how it sounds.

Where and when can we get out hands on it?? I'd love to test it out.

that thing looks like a damn steal for 420$ if it sounds half as good as it looks...

Then what's with the balanced inputs and outputs on the back?

For the fan, there's even a fan control!

From the babelfish translation:
"SXT-2 fixes a price 3,400 Yuan (not to contain 鈻, on October 1, 2005)."

3,400 Yuan = $421.00....

I find it impossible that that piece of equipment could cost so little...can anyone else perhaps translate the page better?
It's 3,400 Yuan (shipping not included)

I'm looking for a little bit more control for months now, but I don't need another amp and paying $421 just for an adjustable control seems to be contradicting, especially when I can't predict how chinese control mixes with a german mindset.

So there is no official site on this thing?

To convert a balanced signal (if you have one) to a single-ended output. Don't ask me why

But it seems odd that it comes with the 4-Pole XLR adapter that plugs it into both jacks instead of just one. Wouldn't that mean it's balanced but uses 1/4 jacks instead of XLR jacks?

And I'd love to know if anyone knows how to contact this guy (or if he speaks english).

coupling caps are for tube amps. i didn't see any tube on the pictures of that tx2.
I see these are used to tweak the low frequency sound. Your version might have better low frequency responce, tighter bass.

very interesting amp! hopefully the fan is quiet, though.
