Embrace "Drawn From Memory"

I stumbled across this album in a friend's collection and, well, I sorta like it. There's times when it's a bit too "pop" and obviously plugging for a hit, but it's certainly interesting and well done. Very nicely produced -- reminiscent of "the old days" of, I dunno, Beach Boys? I almost ashamed to like it since it's also kinda "pretty". I've never heard of this group before. Anyone ever listen to them before?

If you are not from the UK. Which I guess you arn't they are kind of big over here at the moment. Just because that type of Pop/Indie kind of thing is trendy at the moment.

I don't think they are rather good.

Maybe not great. Their melodies are almost great, maybe not quite. But the production, which is pretty rich and retro-sounding was a lot of fun for me to listen to.

Check out the first album called The Good Will Out. One of the best debut albums ever (IMHO). Their latest CD, Out Of Nothing is also very good.

They are also a very good live band. I'm going to see them on Saturday and Sunday at The Brixton Academy.
