IMO, Miles Davis is one of the true late 20th century's revolutionaries, along with Coltrane, Ornette Coleman, Eric Dolphy, Herbie Hancock, and a few more... GOD, maybe, but it's a bit too early to tell....

I would rate Mile's importance as a jazzman below Armstrong and Coltrane.
And his talent were not phenomenal compared to Parker or Coltrane.
He is a great jazzman, but no where close to being divine, IMHO.
