Hey all. I'm currently looking for a new MP3 player to replace my 20GB 3G iPod.

I've decided it's a bit too heavy and big for my liking, I want something a little smaller for work. I'm torn between the new 2g iPod Mini and the Zen Micro...

I really do like the look of both units and I have heard that the sound quality is fair on both of them, but I've also seen a whole bunch of problems reported with each.

Can any Zen/Mini owners share their experiences? Is the Micro really that unreliable?

If I buy either, I don't want it to be hit or miss weather I get a "good one" or not...

Also, does anyone have any pictures of the new 2g Mini in green and the Zen Micro in black and orange? I don't really want to seive through the pictures thread...

Thanks a lot!

here

don't know what the "technical problems" with the mini are, but I've hear about returns with the micro. if you get a working unit, you'll probably be happy with whichever you choose. I was about to buy a micro (better battery, better EQ) when I heard that Apple was releasing a new mini. got the mini and am really happy with it. I think the it wins every comparison (design, ease of use, battery stamina, pocket-frendliness) except the EQ (can't comment on SQ, but from what I've gathered there's no bigger difference). get a matching pair of phones (the Porta Pros are good, but the PX-100s are exactly 25% better) and you'll be very happy.
